Welcome to the Victoria,Chris and Lynda have been in the hospitality trade for 30 years and owned the Victoria for Ten years, Since we converted our accomodation in 2006 into Bed & Breakfast we have never looked back with guests visiting us from all over the world. The Victoria is situated in the heart of Washington U.K. with easy access to all local attractions, we are also on a main bus route which connects to the Metro rail service giving you easy access to all the North Easts top places to see and be seen. We have seven Double / Twin rooms which are all en-suite,two of which we class as family rooms .Our location is perfect for family or friends and companies who have work force in the area.
Our Location 2 minute drive from junction 64 of the A1M , 6 minute drive from the A19 turn of A1231 next to Nissan car factory.
We are only a 15 minute drive from both Sunderland and Newcastle City centres,10 minute drive to Chester le street and a 20 minute drive to Durham City. Newcastle Airport is only a 20 minute drive and Gateshead Metro Centre 15 minutes away, all these locations are serviced by the Metro Rail.
Rooms all rooms Twin / Double with either a bath or power shower, tea and coffee making facilitys hair dryer, TV DVD, Telephone, Ironing board and Iron available at all times along with a trouser press.
Long term Guests for guests staying long term Lynda will gladly wash and dry your clothes.
Entertainment there is always somthing to amuse you during your stay with us, Quizes,football,pool and darts, our regulars love get to know and chat with people who stay with us.
Kitchen We serve traditional home cooked pub food please see our food menu, along with our special Steak and Curry nights, Our kitchen is open 12 till 2.30pm Monday till Saturday and 5.30 till 8 Monday to Thursday. Sunday roast is served 12 till 3pm. Please note our kitchen does not open Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Private Functions Why not book one of our three ares for your special occasion, no hire charge please see our Buffet prices available to down load or feel free to arrange your own catering.
Book and Cook our garden is also available for your private function with a large double barbaque you book bring your own food and cook for your guests,we tidy after.
